Have you heard of this movie, Salmon Fishing In The Yemen? I’ve been ignoring the barely-there promotion for the film because I didn’t really want to research what it was about… but I just watched the trailer (below), and I’m now charmed with the idea. Ewan McGregor is some kind of salmon-fishing expert, and Emily Blunt is the woman trying to organize this grand project to make a man-made, salmon-stocked fishers’ paradise in Yemen, for the sake of having one positive story come out of the Middle East. Last night was the LA premiere of the film, with Emily and Ewan in attendance. Emily wore a Naeem Khan Fall 2012 dress, and black and white Gianvito Rossi Tuxedo shoes. I generally dislike Blunt’s style – I don’t think she really knows what styles and colors compliment her figure and coloring. And while I usually dislike this giant-skirted party-girl dresses, I’m actually liking this look on Emily. Her face looks kind of Botoxy, though. Anyway, here’s the trailer:

Cute, right? Is it just me or is something weird going on with Ewan’s teeth in the trailer and in these photos? Did he get some new veneers? Also – when I covered those photos of Ewan last week, a lot of you noted his “mid-life crisis” earring, which he’s also wearing in these premiere pics. Look, I’ve always thought Ewan was The Sex. But yes, he should lose the earring and get smaller veneers. Still, the man just knows how to STAND. He knows how to pose. He knows how to work an outfit. I love him.
